Athletics at Jeehdeez’a Elementary School

Athletics are an integral part of our holistic educational program, where students learn and grow through activities outside of the classroom. Jeehdeez'a Elementary School continues its tradition of rallying teams to compete in various sports throughout the school year. Students build strength, character and community as they work together, win together and develop their talents. Sports are an exciting way for family and community to become a part of the school while supporting students. Athletics teaches students the value of teamwork, sportsmanship and the principles of our Navajo Plan.

Football

Every fall, our boys suit up, strap on a helmet and hit the field to join the Panthers football team. Football season is a special time at Jeehdeez’a Elementary School because it requires the most player participation, which equals more fans in the stands. Our football team uses the most effective and protective equipment and plays on the safest field.

Volleyball

Girls’ volleyball is another crowd favorite during the fall. Volleyball is only one of the sports in which our female athletes love to compete. The varying sizes of volleyball teams give our students many opportunities to join the team. Girls who enjoy indoor sports venues typically excel on our volleyball team.

Basketball

Basketball might be everybody’s favorite sport during the winter months. Boys and girls both have basketball teams at Jeehdeez’a Elementary School. Basketball is a great team sport that allows student-athletes to develop their skills and improve overall health and conditioning. Our parents/guardians enjoy watching our boys' and girls' basketball teams display their talents.
