Overview
Our School
Jeehdeez’a Elementary School - Home of the Cougars - is a close-knit, ever-growing and always progressing learning environment for kindergarten through fifth grade students. Our Navajo community is preparing our youth for 21st Century living and learning. New learning management systems, upgraded facilities, and highly skilled educators are driving our program.
Dedicated faculty and staff members teach students early cognitive development to reading, writing, math, science, and cultural studies. Students find success in engaging blended learning classrooms and benefit from dynamic teaching resources that help them advance.
Jeehdeez’a Elementary School proudly supports its gifted students, independent thinkers and active learners. Students are expected to fully participate in the education plan and take early ownership of their commitment to lifelong learning. Our community strives to be a model representation for elementary education and cultural competency in the Navajo Nation.
Students, teachers, parents, and guardians collaborate to form teams that help lift students to new academic heights. The character of the Jeehdeez’a Elementary School community is founded upon a constant commitment to hope, aspiration, and perseverance. We remain dedicated to meeting and exceeding our expectations.
Our Mission
The Mission of Jeehdeez'a Elementary School is to provide an education with cultural values in a healthy and safe environment.
Strategic Transformation of Education Plan (STEP)
During the 2023-2024 school year, Jeehdeez'a Elementary School implemented the Strategic Transformation of Education Plan (STEP) initiative – a digital learning portal with a blended learning approach. Our students can maximize this opportunity by accessing the digital learning portal with a 1:1 student-laptop usage ratio. This approach gives our students the advantage of integrated applications and a robust learning strategy.
Jeehdeez'a Elementary Schools' team of dedicated educators are committed to the growth and development of your children – tomorrow’s leaders.
