Health Services at Jeehdeez'a Elementary School
A healthy learning environment is an important aspect of your child’s ability to learn and thrive. Jeehdeez’a Elementary School provides a safe and healthy community where students acquire the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Our students’ quality holistic educational program is protected and preserved by our Navajo community’s professional health services.
Preventive and reactive health services nurture students as they prepare for middle school, high school, and beyond. Jeehdeez’a Elementary’s health service program is anchored by a contractual agreement with Indian Health Services (IHS). Doctors, nurses, and counselors are available for immediate response to any physical, mental, social, or spiritual health concerns.
Students also benefit from advanced telecommunication technologies such as telehealth. Telehealth gives our students access to healthcare providers like never before. Mobile devices are used for video conferencing, medical records and image sharing, wireless communication, two-way audio-visual doctor’s appointments, and more.
Professional healthcare providers are available when needed to handle any of our school’s health care questions or crises. Registered nurses are available to respond through electronic tools and devices that provide long-distance clinical health care, professional health education, and healthcare administration services. Our essential health services preserve the overall well-being of every student.
